Good gods. That's actually more impressive than I was thinking. You don't go around punching giants unless they start something, I hope?
[He's a very small giant, he's pretty sure she could cave his entire torso in at that rate.]
My guess would be Ignacia, yes. Unless you've somehow got divine blood and never knew it. Which is possible, but perhaps somewhat less likely than the fire elemental giving you an alarming gift for passing her challenges.
Funny you should say that. I never knew I was a Frost Giant until one of them grabbed my arm in the midst of a fight and my skin turned blue. In my normal form I have green eyes and skin slightly paler than yours.
My parents didn't bother telling me I was adopted until I found out I was a different species the hard way.
I certainly hope that's not the case for you. Or if it is, that your parents had no way of knowing. I think if I were you I'd talk to one of the other healers just for an opinion. Aymeric or Dorian, maybe Maedhros? But whatever is occurring, I don't think it's some sort of chaotic spiritual corruption. Just an annoying mystery.
It was...surprising. I didn't realize he was capable of such kindness. We really started off on the wrong foot.
Shit. That's one potentially traumatizing way to realize you're adopted. I... well. The circumstances of my adoption weren't really subtle. I knew. Can't remember my birth parents, but I don't think they'd be fire wielding gods or anything, even if it sounds cool.
Yeah, I guess I could.
Don't judge a book and all that. He's rough around the edges but, fuck, so am I, probably even more so than he is. He's a good guy. More people need to give him a chance.
[Traumatizing doesn't half cover it, really, but he's not looking to cry on her shoulder. He sort of got his fill of that for the day with Gadriel, oddly enough.]
It was memorable. Good times. I don't want to pry, but I'm glad for you if your circumstances were less fraught. If they were merely differently fraught, please accept my sympathies.
Unfortunately I think the fact that he's enormous and wearing body armor works against him, but given the world he comes from I can see why he'd be unwilling to go without it. He's got a hard road here, and a volatile temper, but you're right. I see him more clearly now. He is fundamentally well-meaning, even heroic, if just a bit scary.
Goodness. It's a bit of a jump from 'tolerates' to 'likes'. Have I really earned that?
[Hard to tell through text, but he's actually a little bit touched. And very surprised.]
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Anyway, I'll try not to fuck it up. When I do get my powers back, I'll let you know, on the off chance I'll be able to glean more information for you.

I... wouldn't know either way? I'm adopted. For all I know maybe my mom was a fire angel or some shit.
How was your talk with Gadriel?

Don't worry, I think you're a bit scary too.

Just a bit? I would work on that, but you seem... fine. Gadriel likes you, seems like, so I guess I do, too.

Thanks. I'm sure by then I'll be spitting fire or something. At least the element is appropriate.

Oh. Well. Duly noted.
Fire is a useful element to befriend. Tricky to control, but very easy to find uses for. I wish you well with it, one way or another.
